Saturday 6th February 2010
Powerscreen Premier Division leaders Caterpillar FC won 5-1 at Loughborough FC, Nick Moore (2), John Curry, John Pope and Scott Pickering for Caterpillar, Ryan Peacock for the Luffs.  Second placed Genesis FC won 4-1 at home to woodhouse Imperial, Steve Straker (2), Tom Hue and Jorge Jimenez for Genesis, John Taylor for the Imps.  Markfield FC won 9-1 at home to Sutton Bonington, Ben Burrows (2), Ezra Knight, Levi Knight, Herbert Mawazda, Chris Brown, Neilan Morton, Oscar Dodds and Nathan Ferrie for Markfield, James Whitchurch for Sutton.  Falcons also won 4-1 away at Loughborough Town, Danny Bowes, Ross Locker, Jack Richardson and Ashley Harper for the Falcons, Andrew Hand for the Town.  Anstey Town won 2-0 away at Shepshed Amateurs, Mark Brown with the Anstey goals.  Goals from Scott Robinson, Matt Boyles, Rob wills and Ritchie Parker gave Sileby Saints a 4-0 win at home to Whitwick Wanderers. 

The game of the day in the Shedland.co.uk Division One saw third placed Anstey Crown win 4-2 at second placed Belton Villa, Tyrone Smith (2), James Peploe and Peter Newton for the Crown, Lee Harrison and Nathan Gordon for the Villa.  Leaders Birstall Old Boys won 3-0 at Kegworth Imperial, Ashley Byrne (2) and Andy Daybell for Birstall.  Goals from Nick Dyer (3), Tom Maddison (2), Liam Woodford (2), Stu Brown and Matt Hall gave East Leake Athletic a 9-2 win at home to ATI Garryson, Ross Burditt and Gav Irons for Garryson.  Deportivo de la Zouch were held to a 1-1 draw by Sutton Bonington Academicals, Warren Nicholl for Deportivo.  Loughborough Athletic beat neighbours Loughborough FC Reserves 5-2, Richard Keeling (3), Jordan Tinley and Luke Briers for the Athletic, Shaun Findley and Rich Beasley for the Luffs second string.

Hex Holdings Limited Division Two leaders The Railway EWM lost for the second week on the trot going down 3-1 at Loughborough FC ‘A’, Thomas McRoberts (2) and Daniel Smith for Loughborough, Mark Dodd for The Railway.  Markfield FC Reserves beat East Leake Athletic Reserves 3-2, Connor Sanders, Dan Sanders and Callum Rousseau for Markfield, Dean Hawkridge and Robert Hedworth for the Athletic.  Thringstone Rangers drew 3-3 with Moira United, Martyn Page (2) and Sean Mead for the Rangers, Danny Morris (2) and Gareth Edwards for Moira.  Thurmaston Rangers beat Loughborough United 5-3, James Gilmour (2), Vandy Rogers, Alex Hinds and Zack Hawksley for Thurmaston, Simon Cann, Alex Frost and Ian Lord for United.  Ingles Reserves won 5-0 at Woodhouse Imperial Reserves.

Belgrave FC ‘A’ put a dent in Thringstone MW Windmill Trophies Division Three title hopes with a 4-3 win at Homestead Road, Jason Russell, David Sills, Ashley Cockeram and Mark Jones for Belgrave, Luke Hardwick, Nick Sewell and Nathan Moore for the Miners.  Whitwick Wanderers Reserves won 7-2 at home to Mountsorrel FC, Martin Straw (3), Will McNeice (2), Stu McGuire and Melvyn Burton on his debut for the Wanderers, Jack Lakin hitting both for Mountsorrel.  Ferrari FC won 6-2 at home to Sileby Saints Reserves, Rich Guarasci (3), Kieran McHenry, Mark Woolley and Scott Hailey for Ferrari, Matt Simms replying twice for the Saints.  Caterpillar Reserves won 3-1 at home to Long Clawson, Liam Walsh, Danny Hurt and Sam Cole for the Cat, Matt Church for Clawson.  Loughborough Emmanuel beat Measham Imperial 3-2, Josh Field (2) and Dan Reeve for Emmanuel, Ross Tebbutt and Adam Hoult for the Imps.

RBF Fibreglass Limited Division Four leaders Markfield FC ‘A’ won 2-0 at Birstall Old Boys Reserves.  Sileby Victoria Reserves won 5-2 at home to Genesis Reserves, Nick Cox (2), Ian Wright, Nathan Piggin and Gary Smith for Sileby, Nigel Wilman with both the Genesis goals.  Coalville Labour Club won 4-3 at Loughborough United Reserves, Matt Benton (2), Rob Tarry and John Stevenson with the Labour Club goals, Josh smith (2) and Kelvin Lacey for United.  Shepshed Amateurs Reserves won 3-2 at Castle Donington Reserves, Carl Parsons (2) and Daniel Clements for Shepshed, Andy Exall and Grant Redfearn for Donno.  Greenhill YC Reserves won 4-2 at home to Loughborough Galaxy, Roger Birch, Lewis Costellow, Jack Chambers and Michael Chanda for Greenhill, Ben Reynolds and Darren Jones for Galaxy.  Anstey Crown Reserves drew 3-3 with Sutton Bonington Reserves, Rob Holt (2) and Simon Moore for Anstey, Zack Jackson and Luke Woolley for Sutton.

In the Automedia Printers Cobbin Trophy Greenhill YC beat Bagworth Colliery 4-1, Jamain Nelson, James Armstrong, James Smith and Tim Morris for Greenhill, Ben Cotton for Bagworth.  Asfordby Village beat Castle Donington 4-1, Duncan Simpson, Paul Huckerby, Martin Blaza and Jacob Okonowski for the Village, Steve Miller for Donno.  Ingles booked their place in the next round with a 5-3 win at home to Sileby Victoria, Greg Fardell (3), Matt Allard and Ben Pollard for the Ingles, Rob Lewin (2) and Nick Booth for Sileby.

Greenhill YC FC reached the Final of the Saturday Trophy with a 4-1 win against Birstall Social FC, James Armstrong (2), Jamain Nelson and Tim Morris with the goals.

Caterpillar FC marched towards the Powerscreen Premier Division title with another win, this week 2-0 at home to Loughborough FC, Nick Moore and Matt Durham with the goals.  Anstey Town climbed into second place with a 2-1 win at Whitwick Wanderers, Ryan Brightmore with both goals for Anstey, Jamie Holms for Whitwick.  Genesis FC slipped down to fourth after losing 2-1 at Falcons FC, Danny Bowers and Jack Richardson for the Falcons, Ryan Patman for Genesis.  Markfield FC won 3-1 at Loughborough Town, Ezra Knight, Levi Knight and Adam Eames for Markfield, Andrew Hand for the Town.  Sileby Saints won 2-1 at home to Sutton Bonington, Leo Coggan and Scott Robinson for the Saints, Nick Pick for Sutton.  A brace from Martin Blaza earned Asfordby Village a 2-2 draw at home to Woodhouse Imperial, Noel Beniston and Craig Tebbs for the Imps.  Shepshed Amateurs did the double over neighbours Ingles FC wining 2-0 with a goal each from Chris James and Rob Blenkinsopp.

Shedland.co.uk Division One leaders Birstall Old Boys beat Belton Villa 5-0 with goals from Andy Daybell (2), Ryan Tuckley (2) and Daniel Blake.  Anstey Crown lost 4-3 at Sileby Victoria, Rob Lewin and Nick Booth with a brace each for Sileby, Tyrone Smith (2) and James Peploe for Anstey.  East Leake Athletic won 4-2 at Deportivo de la Zouch, Nick Dyer (2), Stu Brown and Rich Penney for East Leake, Ash Walton and Rich Boddice for Deportivo.  Sutton Bonington Academicals won 4-1 at Loughborough FC Reserves, Lyndon Kennedy, Rory Collins, Loz Wall and Loz Al-Hariri for the Accies, Michael Hargreaves for Loughborough.  Kegworth Imperial drew 1-1 at home with ATI Garryson, Ewan North for Kegworth, and John Pearce for Garryson.

Ingles Reserves kept up the pressure on Hex Holdings Limited Division Two leaders The Railway EWM with a 4-0 win at home to East Leake Athletic Reserves, with the Ingles goals.  The Railway won 7-1 at home to Woodhouse Imperial Reserves, Wayne Storer (3), Thomas Towersey (2), Adam Lane and Chris Clarke for The Railway, Tim Pole for the Imps.  .  Bagworth Colliery won 5-0 at Loughborough United, Dale wills (2), Matt Platts, Ben Cotton and Max Carroll with the Bagworth goals.  Castle Donington beat Thurmaston Rangers 2-1, Steve Miller and Richard Marokity for Donno, Martyn Shaw for Thurmaston.  Markfield Reserves won 6-2 at home to Loughborough FC ‘A’, Aidan Bates (3), Callum Rousseau, Mark Woolley and an own goal for Markfield, Leon Pennant hitting both for Loughborough. 

Windmill Trophies Division Three leaders Thringstone MW got back to wining ways with a 5-0 win at Mountsorrel FC, Steve Adams (2), Luke Hardwick (2) and Lee Baillie with the goals.  Whitwick Wanderers Reserves won 3-2 at Belgrave FC ‘A’, for the Wanderers, Scott Taylor and Shane Brown for Belgrave.  Ferrari won 5-0 at home to Measham Imperial, Richard Guarasci (3), Kieran McHenry and Matt Griffin with the goals.  There was a twelve goal thriller at Loughborough Emmanuel as they lost 7-5 at home to Sileby Saints Reserves, Matt Simms (3), Lewis Maxfield (2), Adam Clarke and Ricky Cox for the Saints, Dan Reeve (2), Marc Scott, Dan Orme and Lee Clarke for Emmanuel.  Long Clawson drew 1-1 with Caterpillar Reserves, Marc Gamble for Clawson, and Leighton Costellow for the Cat.

Markfield FC ‘A’ are still top of the RBF Fibreglass Limited Division Four after a 5-0 win at home to Greenhill YC Reserves, Niall Smith (3) and Nathan Kew-Moss (2) with the goals.  Sileby Victoria Reserves won 2-1 at Anstey Crown Reserves, Gary Smith with both the Sileby goals, Andy Morris for the Crown.  Ben Reynolds hit the only goal of the game as Loughborough Galaxy won 1-0 at Castle Donington Reserves.  Coalville Labour Club won 3-2 at home against Loughborough United Reserves, Dave Leigh (2) and Tony Khan for Coalville, Josh Smith and Ashley Heffer for United.  Goals from Alex Ward (4), Mick Tuck, Carl Parsons, Ant Knight and Dan Clements gave Shepshed Amateurs Reserves a 8-0 win away at Sutton Bonington Reserves.  Genesis Reserves won 4-0 against Birstall Old Boys Reserves, Nigel Wilman (2), Matt Reed and Paul Charmers with the goals.

In the Quarter Finals of the Automedia Printers Cobbin Trophy East Leake Athletic caused the upset of the round with a 3-0 win at home to Shepshed Amateurs, Shaun Wright (2) and Liam Woodford with the Athletic goals.  Loughborough FC put a stop to Sileby Saints fifth in a row history making Cobbin hopes by beating them 3-2 on their own patch, Craig Nash, Steve Shapcott and Darren Barrett with the Luffs goals, Richard Emmerson and Matt Boyles for the Saints.  A hat trick from Lee Spridgen gave Asfordby Village a 3-1 win at home to Ingles, Greg Fardell replying for Ingles.  Falcons won 5-2 at home to Greenhill YC, Danny Bowes (2), Jack Richardson, Ashley Harper and Matt Taut for Falcons, Jamain Nelson and Karl Harratt for Greenhill.

Powerscreen Premier Division leaders Caterpillar FC lost their first league game of the season as they went down 3-1 at home to Markfield FC, Ezra Knight, Neilan Morton and Herbert Mawazda with the Markfield goals, John Curry for Caterpillar.  Anstey Town won 4-2 at Loughborough Town, Beto Semedo, Ryan Brightmore, Phil Pearce and an own goal for Anstey, Allan Blackey and Andrew Hand for the Town. 

There was a ten goal thriller in the Shedland.co.uk Division One as leaders Birstall Old Boys won 6-4 at home to Deportivo de la Zouch, Dan Blake and Andy Daybell each hitting a hat trick for Birstall, Veteran midfielder Daz Foster (2), Ash Walton and Nick Teige for Deportivo.  Belton Villa moved up to second with a 2-1 win at Sutton Bonington Academicals, Sam Brader and Nathan Gordon for the Villa, Vio Matei for Sutton.  Sileby Victoria won 3-0 at Loughborough Athletic, Nick Booth, Rob Lewin and Jake Rimmington with the Sileby goals. 

Ingles Reserves closed the gap on Hex Holdings Limited Division Two leaders The Railway EWM to three points after a 3-2 win at home to Markfield FC Reserves, Matt Smith, Ricky Stephnou and Danny Holt for the Ingles, Dave Rousseau and Dan Saunders for Markfield.  Castle Donington won 5-3 at home to East Leake Athletic Reserves, Dave Gaurlay (2), Aaron Mumford, Ian Fisher and Matt Hart for Donno, Joe Byrne (2) and Dean Hawkridge for the Athletic.  Thringstone Rangers won 4-2 at Loughborough FC ‘A’, Martyn Page (2), Sean Mead and Ben Bray for the Rangers, Dan Smith and Darryl Brown for Loughborough.  A brace from Jason Gilmour gave Thurmaston Rangers a 2-0 win at home to Woodhouse Imperial Reserves.

A special mention this week to Lee Baillie of Thringstone MW as he struck twice to reach fifty goals for the season as the Miners won 7-2 at Belgrave FC ‘A’ in the Windmill Trophies Division Three Steve Adams (3), Lee Baillie (2), Luke Hardwick and an own goal rounded up the scoring for the Miners, Shane Brown and James Hussey for Belgrave.  Loughborough Emmanuel won 2-0 at Mountsorrel FC, Dan Child and Marc Scott with the goals.  Sileby Saints Reserves won 4-1 at Measham Imperial, Matt Simms (2), Ricky Cox and Ian Ross for the Saints, Andy Ivers for Measham.  Ferrari FC beat Whitwick Wanderers Reserves 3-2, for Kieran McHenry (2) and Matt griffin Ferrari, Martin Straw with both for Whitwick.

In the RBF Fibreglass Limited Division Four second placed Sileby Victoria Reserves hit twelve without replay at home to Castle Donington Reserves, Gary Smith (7), Nathan Piggin (2), Nick Cox, Danny Rushin and Connor Ferguson with the goals.  Genesis FC Reserves won 8-0 at home to Greenhill YC Reserves, Andy Curran (3), Nigel Wilman (2), Andy Park (2) and Myles Kime on target for Genesis.  Anstey Crown Reserves won 6-1 away at Sutton Bonington Reserves, Mitch Hall (2), Matt Wallace (2), Darryl Elliott and Simon Moore for Anstey, Callum Davidson for Sutton.  Loughborough United Reserves drew 2-2 with Shepshed Amateurs Reserves, Paul and Josh Smith for United, Alistair Frobisher with both for Shepshed.

Only one game played in the Powerscreen Premier Division which saw Whitwick Wanderers beat Sutton Bonington 6-0, Dave Edwards (3), Gavin Edwards, Dave Edwards and Jamie Holms with the goals.

Sileby Victoria hit eleven without reply at home to Loughborough FC Reserves to move in to second place behind Shedland.co.uk Division One leaders Birstall Old Boys, Nick Booth hitting six, Martyn Lewin two and one each for Rob Lewin, Simon Ogilvie and Jake Rimmington with the Vics goals.  Birstall Old Boys won 4-2 at Sutton Bonington Academicals, Daniel Blake (2), Ryan Tuckley and Ashley Price for Birstall, Viorel Matei and Loz Al-Hariri for the Acies.  Deportivo de la Zouch won 4-2 at ATI Garryson, Nick Teige, Ash Walton, James Hobby and Richard Boddice for Deportivo, Matt Clarke hitting both for Garryson.

Hex Holdings Limited Division Two leaders The Railway EMW lost 5-3 at home to Moira United, James Brind (2), Danny Morris, Jason Stamp and Matt Ebsworth for Moira, Wayne Storerer, Nathan Hudson and Chris Clarke for The Railway.  Bagworth Colliery won 3-2 at home to Castle Donington, Matt Platts (2) and Max Carroll for Bagworth, Richard Marokity and an own goal for Donno.  Thringstone Rangers won 5-3 at home to Loughborough United, Sean Mead (2), Ian Jardine (2) and Jack Unwin for the Rangers, Simon Cann (2) and an own goal for Loughborough.  Goals from Darryl Brown (3), Ryan Peacock (2) John Wayment and Tom Belton gave Loughborough FC ‘A’, a 7-1 win at home to Sam Lucas for Woodhouse.  East Leake Athletic Reserves won 2-0 at Thurmaston Rangers, Joe Byrne and Alex Pritchett with the Athletic goals.

There was also only one game played in the Windmill Trophies Division Three which saw Mountsorrel FC beat Sileby Saints Reserves 3-2, Russ Bunn, Lance Bucknall and Dave Harris for Mountsorrel, Matt Simms and Lewis Tolton for the Saints.

In the RBF Fibreglass Limited Division Four Sileby Victoria Reserves won 5-1 at Birstall Old Boys Reserves, Luke Battye, Luke Mackay, Oliver Pervin, Nick Cox and an own goal for Sileby, Russ Downing for Birstall.  Shepshed Amateurs Reserves drew 2-2 at home to Greenhill YC Reserves, Mick Tuck and Daniel Clements for the Amateurs, Tom Hudson and Jamian Nelson for Greenhill.  Coalville Labour Club drew with Castle Donington Reserves, Islam Ibrahim for Coalville, Kev Peel for Donno Reserves.

In the Quarter Finals of the Bonser Trophy goals from Martin Straw (3), Paul Collier (3), Kyle Holland (3), Tim Axton and Lawrence Pratt gave Whitwick Wanderers Reserves an 11-0 win at Castle Donington Reserves.  Belgrave FC ‘A’ beat Genesis FC Reserves 5-4, David Sills (2), Mick Thompson (2) and Shane Brown for Belgrave, Nigel Wilman (3) and Craig Powell for Genesis.  A gaol each from Callum Rousseau and Aiden Bates gave Markfield FC Reserves a 2-1 win at Loughborough United Reserves, Josh Smith for United.  Ingles FC Reserves went through 4-3 on penalties after drawing 2-2 aet at Caterpillar FC Reserves, Matt Smith and Ricky Stephnou for the Ingles, Simon Carr and Simon Bailey for Caterpillar.
